Lost in cyberspace

I value every inquiry from potential and existing clients, and I respond to every email I receive.  So, if you send me a message through the contact form on my website and you don’t receive a reply within a few days, please try to reach me again 🙂 Apparently, some of the recent messages sent via the contact form have been lost in cyberspace…gotta love technology, right?! 😉

On a related note, when you’re filling out your email address in the form, please check to make sure there are no typos.  I will be responding to the email address you input, so if it’s not correct you won’t receive my email reply.
And lastly, be sure to check your junk folder in case my email reply lands there.

I look forward to connecting with you!

Photography Workshop | Newfoundland

My computer recently crashed, so things have been a bit out of sorts lately 🙁  While I’d love to post some photographs today, the process is too cumbersome with my current set up!  But, I wanted to let you know that the January 20th Basic Photography lession is now full.  But, I have scheduled another workshop for March 3rd.  Learn how to set your shutter speed, aperture, ISO, white balance and more!  Plus, we’ll talk about composition techniques, lens selection and other photography and camera tips!  For more information, click the workshop link in the menu on the right.

Newfoundland Photography Workshop | Learn to use your camera

Did Santa bring you a new dSLR camera for Christmas?!  Would you like to learn how to use your camera to take better pictures?  Check out my Basic Photography Workshop to get out of Auto Mode!  For more information about the workshop, click the workshop link in the blog menu on the right.  The next workshop in the Bay Roberts area is scheduled for January 20th (there are currently 3 seats left).  It’s not the camera that takes great photographs; it’s the person in control of the camera  😉

Newfoundland Photography Workshop – January 20th, 2013

Are you looking for a 1 day camera course on the Avalon (Bay Roberts – St. John’s area)?  If you want to use your dSLR camera in manual mode and learn some “tricks of the trade” so you can take great photos, check out my Basic Photography Workshop!  The September and October photography workshops are already full, but I’m now announcing a workshop on January 20th, 2013.  A gift certificate to attend a workshop makes a great gift for your special someone (and fits nicely in a Christmas stocking!).  Click HERE for more information and feedback from previous participants.

NOW AVAILABLE: Intro to Photoshop Workshop

I am excited to finally launch the Intro to Photoshop online workshop!  Learn at your own pace, from the comfort of your own home, anywhere around the world!  Heck, you could even be in your PJs watching the workshop at 11pm  🙂
The introductory special includes a t-shirt from I Shoot – a line of apparel and accessories for photographers that I launched in February 2012.  Or, you can choose to purchase access to the workshop only (without the photographer t-shirt) for a special introductory price.  All the workshop details can be found HERE.
Here’s a little clip from the workshop.  This video is small, but the actual workshop is 1280×720 HD.

Basic Photography Workshop – September 9th

MYTH: You can take great pictures because you have a dSLR
FACT: You need to LEARN HOW TO USE your dSLR in order to take great pictures! (and of course, you need to learn the fundamentals of photography too)

I could buy the best guitar available and I still would not be able to play music! I would need to learn how to use it (and the fundamentals of music) before I could play it 🙂

Interested in learning how to take better pictures? Check out my Basic Photography Workshop!  Click the workshop link in the menu on the right for more information.
Currently accepting registration for the September 9th workshop in Tilton.  The three workshops in July and August filled up fast, so register early to avoid disappointment!

Basic Photography Workshop in St. John’s area – August 5th

The summer workshops in Tilton have been filling up fast (the June 5th, July 8th and August 12th workshops were/are all full), and I’ve been getting a number of people inquiring about a session in St. John’s.  Sooo, I’ve scheduled a Basic Photography Workshop for Sunday, August 5th.  It was a challenge getting a room at a hotel “right in” St. John’s, so the workshop will be held at Hotel Mount Pearl (on Park Ave).  For workshop details, click the link in the menu on the right.  Make this the summer you finally learn how to USE your camera to take great photos  😉   Happy Shooting!
