My god-daughter, Avery, recently turned 2 years old. I still remember visiting her in the hospital when she was born…oh my, the years go by too quickly!
Havana turns 1 year!
You may remember Havana was an adorable lioness at her newborn session. Here she is as a little lady, already 1 year old!
Lifestyle Sessions
I am excited to now offer Lifestyle Sessions. Lifestyle Sessions are intended to capture the essence of your life, or something that is happening in your life, at the time of the session. The images will mostly be natural, candid and personality photographs, and possibly some casual portrait-type of photos, as well as “details” shots. You may remember the post I made about Jaxon’s first haircut a while ago (LINK); this is one example of a Lifestyle Session. Below is a video featuring some photos from a recent family Lifestyle Session. If you would like information about preserving some of your memories in this way, please contact me for details!

A little look “behind the scene”
I wasn’t in position or ready when baby Andrew gave us a big smile… :) but I knew I couldn’t miss this expression, so I quickly focused and pressed the shutter to capture the moment before it passed! Luckily for the proud parents, I know my way around Photoshop very well, and I was able to make a beautiful photo from what otherwise would have been missed or deleted!
Of course, it’s always better to “get it right” in camera, but for the times when a photo needs extensive editing in order to be “useable”, you can be confident that you’ve chosen a photographer that’s able to catch the moment and provide you with quality photos to cherish for a lifetime

The New Frizzell Family
You may remember this beautiful family from their maternity session last month, when I posted some family photos and mama photos of these awesome clients. Well, they made another trip out over the highway from St. John’s once baby Mayumi made her grand entrance! And they brought a cast of mom’s belly to use for one of the shots – cool, eh?! Almost a year old. *happy* *sad*
I just can’t believe I’m starting to plan Jaxon’s 1st birthday party! People say “they grow so fast”, but I couldn’t appreciate how true this is until I had my own baby! I’m happy and excited that he’s learning new things, and I love watching him grow and change…but, at the same time, I’m sad that the days of him as an infant are gone. If only I could pause time… oh wait, I can! (well, sort of) “A photograph is the pause button of life” – Ty Holland. Thank goodness I have lots of great pictures to look back on in years to come
The beauty of new life
Remember when pregnant women covered up from head to toe in loose fitting clothes?! I think it’s great that many women these days are proud to show their baby-belly. I feel it’s true that expecting moms have such a beautiful glow
