Here’s a before & after comparison to illustrate why editing can sometimes take many hours. Although babies are beautiful even with their blemishes, most parents want their baby to look “flawless” in his/her newborn portraits. Photoshop can work magic (if you know how to use it!), but when there’s 20+ proofs to edit it takes a lot of time. The joy on Mom’s face when she sees the photos is worth it for me!
This particular example is a baby, but I often need to do extensive and advanced editing for children and adults as well (and not just skin blemishes). When the shoot is over, my work really begins — the post-processing (editing)!
