I was hoping to try out some new props and sweet little Avery was the perfect model. Here are some of the adorable photos from her session last week… check out that big smile!!

Sweet baby Alyssa was wide awake for the first half of her session, but once we got her in a deep sleep it was smooth sailing (or I should say smooth shooting!). Squishy, Squishy – just look at those lips!
While “perfect smiles” are totally awesome, I really enjoy capturing different expressions to illustrate personality! Luke was super expressive during his session!
I just realized I forgot to post more photos of the twins I had in studio a few weeks ago. Gosh, May and June were busy months; it’s a wonder I managed to blog at all 😉 Are you ready for a double dose of sweetness – Andrew and Leah?!
Anyone who follows my blog would recognize Jaxon – my precious boy 🙂 We celebrated his first birthday this past Sunday! As I think about how much he has changed over the past year, I’m very happy to have “preserved” so many memories with good photographs. Here are a few fun shots I took in studio on his birthday… his expressions progress from “I’m the birthday boy!”, to “Oh boy! Did I do that?” to “Mmm, icing is yummy!”…LOL. (I included the collage because I like the layout, but you can’t really appreciate his expressions with such a small image)
I’m honored that Maralee and Stephen chose to make the trip out around the Bay (from St. John’s) so I could photograph this special time in their life. At 28 weeks, they’ve got a little bit of a wait for Baby Carter yet, but no doubt the anticipation and excitement are rising and the next few months will fly 😉
There’s been a lot of delicious cake flying around the studio lately, hehe 😉 Jesse enjoyed his giant cupcake, from head to toe!
I wasn’t in position or ready when baby Andrew gave us a big smile… 🙂 but I knew I couldn’t miss this expression, so I quickly focused and pressed the shutter to capture the moment before it passed! Luckily for the proud parents, I know my way around Photoshop very well, and I was able to make a beautiful photo from what otherwise would have been missed or deleted!
Of course, it’s always better to “get it right” in camera, but for the times when a photo needs extensive editing in order to be “useable”, you can be confident that you’ve chosen a photographer that’s able to catch the moment and provide you with quality photos to cherish for a lifetime 🙂
More photos from this session to come!
This little boy is seriously sooo adorable! I must have said “he’s so cute” a hundred times during the session and post-processing 😉 The hair…the lips…the cheeks… GORGEOUS!
This fabulous couple were terrific in studio! The love between them and the excitement for their little miracle were just “oozing”!! What a wonderful session we had 🙂
